On the spam problem: how about a checkbox or button to tag a posting as spam. A message then gets sent to whoever posted it. If they don't respond to uncheck it, it gets deleted in a week or so. You can always restore from backups, if the spam-tagging and deletion was a mistake.

Typo in your profile: "foresty investment managers" -> "forestry ...."
