Software Assets are at the level of either Supporting Assets or FISDEV Solutions. Open Source Software Assets are generally not hosted on the site but should have a corresponding Article page or accessible as a bookmark. This Article should contain:

• Mapping of the component to the FISDEV Architecture
• Mapping to applicable Activities or Tasks of the Overall Implementation Guide
• Mapping to applicable FISDEV Solutions
• Benefits of using this Software Asset
• References to its use on other projects
• How to get access to the product

These Articles provide a link to product’s home page on a site such as SourceForge or Eclipse. Users may also wish to map in Private Supporting Assets at this level and not make them part of the Open Methodology.
